SilverCut/Maverick - How to Home the Table

Homing Table

Homing the table is an important step when starting up for the day. Although you do not have to be homed in order to run, homing out the table will square up the gantry if you are misaligned and will register the tables limits to prevent the gantry from crashing from hitting the hard stops.

1.      Connect software to controller.

-  Turn on control box and click the connect button on the top left of the CNC page.

2.      Drive the Carriage close to Home position without hitting the hard stops.

-  This just makes things go faster. X0,Y0 (home) is the front right of the bed.

3.      Click “Home” under the Machine DRO (digital read out).

-  When the DRO under Machine position shows “N/A” that means the table is not homed it does not know its limits.

4.      Click “Home All”.

-  The gantry will move so the proxy sensors in the X and Y axis can sense their home positions.

-  The Z axis does not home out. Z will zero when starting program.
