SilverCut/Maverick - : How to Make Custom Buttons

Custom Buttons

Custom Buttons are useful quick toggles you can add in the CNC screen that will automatically drive the gantry to certain positions on the bed based from Machine Home. These typically set up for the parking area, home area, and fixture 0,0 positions. This document will walk through adding a parking area custom button on a 5x10 table.

 

1.  Open Configurations

 

- Configurations is the button that looks like 2 gears on the top right of the page.


2.  Click on “M-Code Definitions”

 

- Under the Macro M-Codes section, click “Add M-Code”



3.  Enter the new M-Code information

 

-  If the number you enter does not work you will get a exclamation mark (try another number if you get that) -> (Numbers 20 through 29 typically work)

 

-  Give the M-Code a name

 

-  Click “Edit”



4.  Enter in Macro Code

 

-  The X and Y values in the Macro Code are distances from Machine Zero

 

-  Type in “G53 X120 Y60” and click OK




5.  Click on the Custom Buttons tab on the left of the configurations window - Click “New Button”




 

6.  Enter Custom Button’s information - Enter Buttons name

 

- Select “Run Macro”

 

- Enter the number you gave the M-Code - Click “Add Button”



7.  Click Save



 

8.  Your new custom button will be under the connect button in the CNC page - Custom Buttons only work after the table has been homed out
